Camping Valkanela is surrounded by several sandy, stone, and pebble beaches. So, diving goggles and snorkel on and off into the crystal clear Adriatic water. Above the beach line the blue flag of the European Union flutters in the fresh wind - that means you will discover especially safe and clean beaches here. Bathing areas are clearly separated from boat and windsurf bays. An extra entrance has been created for wheelchair users so that they can also enjoy a swim in the sea. If you travel with your four-legged friend, you will also find anextra dog beach.

... rent a canoe or pedal boat to explore the small bays at the camping park. Or to enjoy the view of the offshore islands. They rise out of the turquoise blue sea like green spots of colour. You can also look forward to the pool area of Camping Valkanela. With a swimming pool and a shallow children's area where dolphin figures and a smiling, colourful turtle wait for your youngest.

1. Where is the campsite located?

The campsite is located in a beautiful bay between Vrsar and Funtana on the west coast of Istria. It is surrounded by a green pine forest and offers a wonderful view of the sea and the islands.

2. How many pitches and rental accommodations does the campsite have?

The campsite has 1,800 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with electricity and water connection. The pitches are between 80 and 120 m² in size and offer a lot of shade and privacy. There are also 300 rental accommodations such as mobile homes, bungalows and glamping tents with air conditioning, kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

3. What facilities does the campsite offer?

The campsite offers a range of facilities for a pleasant and varied holiday. These include a 3 km long pebble beach, a heated pool with water slides and children’s pool, a wellness area with sauna, massage and cosmetics, a sports center with tennis, mini golf, table tennis, volleyball, basketball and football, a children’s playground with bouncy castle and trampoline, an animation team with activities and shows, a bike rental, a diving center and a boat rental.

You can reach the campsite by car, bus or plane. If you come by car, take the highway A9 to the exit Vrsar/Funtana and follow the signs to the campsite. If you come by bus, get off in Vrsar or Funtana and take a taxi or a shuttle bus to the campsite. If you come by plane, fly to the airport of Pula or Rijeka and take a taxi or a shuttle bus to the campsite.

7. What can I do in the area?

You can do many activities in the area such as hiking, cycling, horse riding, sailing, surfing, kayaking, fishing or golfing. Visit the picturesque towns of Vrsar and Funtana or take a trip to the Brijuni National Park or the Limski Canal.

8. What attractions are there in the area?

In the area there are many attractions such as the old town of Vrsar with the harbor and the church of Saint Fosca, the old town of Funtana with the castle Zuzic and the church of Saint Bernardin, the basilica Euphrasius in Porec with its Byzantine mosaics, the arena of Pula with its Roman ruins or the cave Baredine with its stalactites and stalagmites.
