If you travel by car to the alpine republic, a Vignette for the windshield is necessary for the motorways. You can buy them before entering the country at rest stops, for example in Germany. A 10-day vignette costs around 9 euros. If you are staying longer, a 2 months Vignette can be purchased for approximately 27 euro or thereabouts.
