Discover Normandy and Channel Islands like Jersey and Guernsey

From here you can of course discover the typical Norman highlights such as Mont-Saint-Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, Cherbourg and the Cité de la Mer, the numerous castles and abbeys as well as the entire culinary heritage of the Normans, but also the lesser known sights, some of which can still be seen as insider tips.

The footpath that runs along Lindbergh Beach takes you over the river footbridge to Portbail. This footbridge crosses the river "Ollonde" which forms the "Havre" of Portbail, a small estuary where fresh and sea water mix and where you can find plants specific to this environment: Saltweed, Sea Lavender and Obione. Portbail, a charming town on the estuary with a pretty harbour. As well as all the amenities, it has two magnificent churches and a bridge with its 13 arches and a very rare Gallo-Roman baptistery, probably dating from the 6th century. Visit the pottery at Denneville, the seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret, the castle of Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, the mill at Fierville les Mines and the town of Bricquebec with its beautiful castle.

On the Côte des Isles in the Cotentin, only 400 m from the sea and 1700 m from Lindbergh beach.

Opposite the Channel Islands, Les Carolins campsite is located in the commune of Saint-Lô d'Ourville.
The pitches, mobile homes and Coco Sweet tents are set in the wooded grounds to give guests enough privacy.

The campsite offers a range of services to make guests' holidays more enjoyable! A table tennis and table football room, a children's playground, a petting zoo, TV room, petanque court and a heated swimming pool. During the season, guests can expect a bar, fast food and a range of activities. A small grocery shop selling local produce, washing machine (for a fee), provision of ironing board and iron and hire of bicycles and kiddy karts is also offered.
