Good base for experiencing history very closely!
The Camping de Sainte-Mère-Église*** is located in Normandy, on the Cotentin Peninsula, in the heart of D-Day history. Just a 3-minute walk from the Air Force Museum and the famous church tower of Sainte-Mère-Église. Sainte-Mère-Eglise is close to the D-Day landing beach of Utah Beach and a few kilometres from Omaha Beach.
When you visit the Air Force Museum, it will completely transport you to the feeling of the Normandy landings of the American paratroopers. Old aircraft, authentic artefacts and highly realistic reconstruction scenes can be discovered here. You will be witness to the events of 6 June 1944. You will also have the opportunity to board a Waco glider and a C-47 aircraft to imagine the feeling of the young soldiers who went into battle.
The Sainte-Mère-Église campsite can become the base camp for your holiday, allowing you to discover the many highlights of the region and the surrounding area, whether in search of history or simply to enjoy the Normandy countryside.
Tennis, football, basketball or maybe a massage?
At Camping de Sainte Mère Église***, you can decide what you fancy! Do you fancy a day of sport on the multi-sports court? Want to hit a few balls over the net at tennis? Or simply let yourself be pampered with a soothing organic oil massage! Still no gift idea for the ones at home? Souvenirs from the Cotentin and Normandy to take home? Local and organic products made in the region are sold at the reception.
You can also rent bicycles for adults and children and suitable accessories such as fluorescent jackets, helmets and locks for each bike.
