Vacation in Catalonia directly on the Costa Brava. Only 28 kilometres behind the French border, in the bay of Rosas, lies the 5 star family campsite L'Àmfora. The facility has direct access to the beautiful and wide beach. There is much to discover in the region around the campsite. The town of Cadaqués is located in the middle of the mountains on the Costa Brava, a must for all visitors, here you can experience much of the original life of the locals. The so-called Pearl of the Costa Brava is mainly known for the famous Salvador Dalí he had his permanent residence here. Also not far away are the Aiguamolls National Park and the artist town of Figueres.

For those who prefer to relax and sunbathe, they can do so either in the site's own pool landscape with 4 pools, water slides and paddling pools for the little ones or on the sheltered sandy beach.On the beach you will find showers, toilets and a snack bar. How many pitches and rental accommodations does the campsite have?

The campsite has 670 pitches with a size of 100 m² to 180 m², all equipped with electricity, water and sewage connection. In addition, there are about 180 different rental accommodations such as bungalows, mobile homes and apartments with different capacities and facilities.

What facilities does the campsite offer?

The campsite offers a variety of facilities and services for a comfortable and entertaining stay. These include, among others, a large pool complex with four pools, slide and paddling pool, a sports area with tennis, football, basketball and volleyball courts, a gym, a wellness area with sauna, jacuzzi and massages, a playground, a mini club, a youth club, an amphitheater, a supermarket, a bakery, a laundry, a library, an internet room, a bike rental and an ATM.

Is there a supermarket or a restaurant?

Yes, there is a supermarket on the campsite, which is open daily and offers a large selection of food, drinks, souvenirs and camping articles. There is also a bakery with fresh bread and pastries every morning. The campsite also has two restaurants: the restaurant L’Àmfora, which serves Mediterranean cuisine with sea view, and the restaurant La Pergola, which offers pizza, pasta and salads. Both restaurants also have a bar with terrace.

How do I get to the campsite?

You can reach the campsite by car, bus or plane. If you come by car, take the AP-7 motorway to exit 3 (Figueres-Roses) and then follow the signs to Sant Pere Pescador. The campsite is well signposted. If you come by bus, there is a direct connection from Barcelona to Sant Pere Pescador with the company Sarfa. The bus stop is only 300 m from the campsite. If you come by plane, the nearest airports are Girona (50 km) or Barcelona (150 km). From there you can take a rental car or book a transfer to the campsite.

What can I do in the area?

The area of Sant Pere Pescador offers many possibilities for activities and excursions. You can, for example, explore the nature of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà natural park, which is a paradise for birdwatchers. You can also visit the ruins of Empúries, which are an important archaeological site with Greek and Roman remains. If you are looking for more action, you can try various water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking or diving. There are several schools and providers on the campsite or nearby.

What are the attractions in the area?

The Costa Brava is rich in attractions and culture. You can, for example, visit the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, which has an impressive Romanesque architecture and a spectacular view of the sea. You can also discover the picturesque villages such as Cadaqués, L’Escala or Pals, which have preserved their charm and traditions. Or you can be inspired by the art and life of Salvador Dalí, by visiting his museum in Figueres or his house in Portlligat.

Is the campsite dog-friendly?

Yes, the campsite is dog-friendly and allows pets on the pitches and in some rental accommodations. There is also a dog beach near the campsite, where you can swim with your four-legged friend. However, you have to follow some rules, such as keeping your dog on a leash, removing his droppings and not bringing him into the swimming pools or sanitary facilities.

Is there wifi on the campsite?

Yes, there is wifi on the entire campsite, which you can use for free. You just have to register at the reception and get a password. The wifi is not very fast or stable, though, so it is not suitable for streaming or downloads. If you need a better connection, you can use the internet room, which is equipped with computers.
