Elephants and giraffes etccan be spotted in the safari park in Bussolengo.
Windsurfers meet in the north of the lake; sailing and motorboat fans cruise through the wide part of the southern part of Lake Garda. If you take the cable car from Malcesine to Monte Baldo, you can look down from the flowery mountain meadows onto the dazzling lake. The Sirmione peninsula extends over a mile into the water. At the top, the ancient Roman Catull built himself a villa. The castle of the Veronese rulers, the Scaliger, is well preserved - a guided sightseeing tour is worthwhile.
