On the campsite
Holidays on a boat in the northern Netherlands. A slightly different holiday, but really super fun! And you don't need a boating licence to sail these boats. Enjoy the beautiful panorama, sail through cosy Groningen, cross the Lauwersmeer....You decide where you want to sail this holiday. Welcome to Gruno Motor yachts in Zoutkamp.
When you arrive in Zoutkamp, your boat is already at the quay. Fuel and water tanks are filled, a gas bottle is connected and a second one is ready as a spare. So you can board immediately and start your holiday! Before you start your journey, you will get a comprehensive introduction about the yacht. The owner will explain to you exactly what to look out for when sailing so that you can set off safely. If there are any problems during your trip, he is always available by phone to help you.
And your boat.... very comfortable. Real beds, a toilet and a shower are also on board, of course. You can cook for yourself in the small galley. Of course, there is also a fridge. In the evening, you sit comfortably on deck or in the cabin if it's a bit colder, and leave the day behind.
The captain, of course, is at the helm. Start the engine and the journey can begin. The other passengers find a nice spot on deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery and let the wind blow through their hair. At best, they have to help you when you reach a bridge. Here, you press the bell, so to speak, and wait for the bridge to open so you can sail on again. This will be an unforgettable holiday!
The village of Zoutkamp is located in the province of Groningen on the edge of the Lauwersmeer National Park. It was once a defensive redoubt on the Lauwerszee. Nowadays, however, the fishing village is mainly known for its Dutch shrimp. The village impresses with its fantastic location on the big water, the endless vistas and the unspoilt nature in the immediate surroundings. At the harbour, there are cosy cafés from where you have a great view of the water. In the fishing museum (open from April to November), you can learn more about the history and development of Zoutkamp's fishing industry.
Your motor yacht is moored in Zoutkamp's harbour. A few metres from the charter base, you will find a supermarket where you can stock up on suitable provisions for your time on board. Of course, you can also choose to find a cosy restaurant in the harbour where you moored in the evening.
