Camping with bathing fun, mountain views and comfort
The 5-star campsite Seefeld Park on Lake Sarner welcomes you to a very well-maintained meadow area, often surrounded by trees. The pitches are mostly around 80 square metres in size and are sunny or semi-shaded. Many offer you a wonderful lake view. Need some refreshment? Look forward to the large sunbathing lawn at the bathing area by the lake. Right next door is the adventure pool. As a guest of Seefeld Park Sarnen you enjoy free admission! The modernly designed outdoor pool complex will delight you with its large pool, water jets and kids' area. If you still have plenty of energy left after all that frolicking in the water, how about a game of football, beach volleyball or tennis? In the surrounding area there is also the Zinsli adventure playground, a skate park and a mini-golf course.
Water sports, boating and hiking excursions
If you want to enjoy the view of the Obwalden mountains from Lake Sarnen, hire a pedalo from the snack bar. Or you can set sail with a rented canoe, kayak or SUP board, directly from the campsite! If you prefer to be paddled, you can go on board the excursion boat MS Seestern. Back at the 5-star campsite, you can enjoy a cosy barbecue evening. You can also buy regional delicacies in the shop or treat yourself in the restaurant. If you would like to fish your own dinner on Lake Sarnen, you can get information on fishing from Obwalden Tourism. Joggers, walkers and hikers can discover the Sea Hiking Trail. Or you can set off for alpine pastures and mountain peaks. The canton of Obwalden offers you over 1,000 kilometres of well-maintained hiking trails. Many paths lead to one of the 15 lakes in the region. Some hiking trails and an MTB route lead to the Älggi-Alp with the St. Anna Chapel, situated at around 1,650 metres above sea level above Sachseln. This is the geographical centre of Switzerland!
