Where is the Le Floride/L’Embouchure campsite located?
The campsite is located on the Mediterranean coast in the south of France, in the town of Le Barcarès in the Occitanie region. It is directly on the sea and on the river Agly and offers direct access to the sandy beach. The campsite is about 20 km from Perpignan and 50 km from the Spanish border.
How many pitches and rental accommodations does the campsite have?
The campsite has a total of 600 pitches, of which 300 are for tents, caravans or motorhomes and 300 are for rental accommodations. The rental accommodations are mobile homes, chalets or unusual accommodations such as Hawaiian Farés or Far-West wagons. All rental accommodations are equipped with TV and WiFi.
What facilities does the campsite offer?
The campsite offers a variety of facilities for a comfortable and entertaining stay. These include:
- A heated water park with slides, wave pool, whirlpool and children’s pool
- A wellness area with sauna, hammam, massages and beauty treatments

On the campsite there is a small supermarket where you can buy food, drinks and other items of daily use. The supermarket is open from April to September.
On the campsite there is also a restaurant called “Le Floride”, which offers traditional cuisine from the region as well as international specialties. The restaurant has a large terrace overlooking the water park. It is open from April to September. Near the campsite you will also find other restaurants, pizzerias or crêperies for every taste.

How do I get to the campsite?
The campsite can be reached by car, train or plane.
- By car: The campsite is located on the D90 between Le Barcarès and Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque. It is signposted from the A9 motorway. The exit is number 40 (Leucate). Then follow the direction Le Barcarès.
- By train: The nearest train station is Perpignan, about 20 km from the campsite. From there you can take a bus or a taxi.
- By plane: The nearest airport is Perpignan-Rivesaltes, about 25 km from the campsite. From there you can take a bus or a taxi.
What can I do in the area?
Le Barcarès is an ideal place for a holiday full of fun and relaxation. You can do many activities in the area, such as:
- Water sports: You can try sailing, surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, parasailing or diving. There are several schools and rentals on the beach or on the lake.
- Nature sports: You can go hiking, cycling, horse riding or canyoning. There are many trails and paths along the coast or in the hinterland.
